Our basketball approach can be found in everything we do. How we prepare for the season, for practices, for video games. How we connect with the gamers, authorities, assistant coaches, moms and dads, school community. How we perform ourselves in the game. How we invest our off season. All of it mentions our personal outlook, our beliefs about the role of the video game of basketball in our players' lives, and our role within that video game.

I often ask my trainees to let go of any negativeness they are hanging on to at the end of any practice. Throughout the resting position, we allow our bodies to melt by unwinding all of our muscles. Our physique soaks up all the strength and flexibility advantages. We then permit any negativeness to launch from our minds and our hearts. The Slight Edge philosophy teaches us that the little decisions that we make day-to-day truly do matter. They have long term repercussions. One missed workout will not kill me, however a year of missed out on exercises will make me out of shape. Just think how fit I might have been if I had worked out every day for that year. Its the same with knowledge. The number of people go an entire year without checking out any personal development products. How much individual development might we have made in a year if we had actually read simply ten pages every day. The difference is mind boggling!
